SEBI has recently introduced a new asset category - Specialized Investment Funds (SIFs). SIFs are aimed to fill the gap between the traditional mutual fund products and the higher-end products like AIFs and PMS which come with a higher ticket size.

The Minimum ticket size for this new Asset category is Rs. 10 lakh.

To register a Specialized Investment Fund (SIF) EUIN (Employee Unique Identification Number) with AMFI, you need to ensure your ARN (AMFI Registration Number) and NISM (National Institute of Securities Markets) certifications are valid.

Specifically, You'll need to have passed the NISM Series-XIII: Common Derivatives Certification Examination. https://www.nism.ac.in/common-derivatives-certification-examination/

The SIF registration is linked to your ARN, so if your ARN is invalid, your SIF registration will also be invalid.

Here's a breakdown of the process:

Eligibility:

Ensure you are an existing ARN holder or employee of an ARN holder, and that you have passed the NISM Series-XIII: Common Derivatives Certification Examination.

Valid ARN:

Your ARN must be valid for SIF registration. If it's not, you'll need to renew it first.
